STUDENT VISA FOR GERMANY

Requirement for a Bachelor: 12-year secondary school leaving certificate or Pre-University Examination and Studienkolleg (It is a preparatory course for academic study at university)
Requirement for a Masters: University bachelor’s degree of 3 years or four years from a recognized university.

ENGLISH TEST REQUIREMENT

English Language: International Degree Programs are taught in English, So the student needs to have an English proficiency test
TOEFL min score required by most of the Universities is 86 and above
IELTS min score required by most of the Universities is 6.5 and above
GRE/GMAT Students can get admission without GRE and GMAT, but some management schools may ask for a GMAT score. Even in schools where it is not asked, a student with a GMAT score will be given preference over one who has not given the test, provided the score is a good one. GRE is required for certain programs in some universities like TUHH, RWTH Aachen, Saarland University.

Are Scholarships provided for students who are studying in Germany?

There are no university-sponsored scholarships in Germany, but several private and public institutions award scholarships, usually to cover living costs and books.

Can we work with Student Visa part-time or full-time?

Students are allowed to work during study. After the first three months, students are permitted to work 120 full or 240 half days. In fact, in some cities, work inside the University is unrestricted as long as it does not impact studies. Mandatory Internship, Project work, or Thesis work are excluded from the work restrictions or permit necessity.

Where can we stay?

Studentenwerk is a hostel that provides a private room with a shared kitchen (equipped with multiple electric stoves, Refrigerator, Freezer, Electric Oven, Cupboards, dining table with chairs, etc.), bath & toilet. The most popular form of accommodation among students is private shared accommodation, or “Wohngemeinschaften” (WGs), known in German. The principle is that several people share a flat. Each tenant has their room while the bathroom and kitchen are used jointly. Or you may live in rental apartments.
